Certain projects within the MIT/Portugal Program (MPP) are analyzing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technologies that can have significant impact on transportation options and travel behavior. Analyzing how travelers may respond to the new options requires new models and considerable data and travel demand indicators. This site documents and provides access to some of the static data layers (basemaps) and model components that are being developed by various MPP research teams to interpret travel surveys and mobility studies, analyze how travelers may respond to new IT-enabled transportation services, and model transportation, land use, and environmental interactions. The shared data repository and geoportal tools allow interactive viewing and downloading of selected data, model parameters, and urban activity simulations. Authorized users can also update, share, and discuss key datasets, model results, and performance measures.
